Laura & Simon down in our basement. Simon's starting to cruise a little, certainly he is good at pulling up on things. 

Snow

A view from our back window. We've had a little bit of snow. ... Today, the temperature is officially minus-1 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chills last night were 30 below. Eek! California, where are you? Ah, but the snow is indeed fun; if only we could play in it without freezing to death. 

Hair a-blazin'

Now that Simon's had his hair cut, I think it might be time for Jon to get one too. Bonus for this picture: you can make out Simon's cute little teeth. He has had those for 3 or more months now, 2 teeth on the bottom. Nothing else has appeared yet, but it can't be far off! 

Sepia photos

Simon really does like his new pull wagon-type thingy. And his hair won't stop growing!!! (yeah, okay, I guess that's normal.) He looks particularly quaint in this sepia photo. 


Oh yeah, and another thing: Simon really, REALLY likes books. He will turn pages like nobody's business and open or turn anything else that he can get his hands on.
