Seattle Trip

Here's Simon with his Grandma Haupt ("Farmor"). Just got back from a trip out to Seattle and Vancouver. Pretty cute!

Crawling to the camera

"Hi there!" -- Simon looks a little warm in this winter coat, but we have had some quickly-changing weather. One day it's 50 degrees, next day it's 40 and raining, next day there are 3 inches of snow and it's 18 degrees... 

Yeah, we finally got our camera back!

We had a rough time with Canon, but finally, our camera is back in hand and in good shape, as you can tell from these fine flower photos. 

Eating carrots

Simon is really enjoying feeding himself. He likes to attempt to eat his food with his hands, and is quite good with Cheerios, but not quite as good with "messy" foods like mashed carrots. Still, he has a good time and does manage to eat some of it. He even does fairly well at getting the right end of a spoon in his mouth, although it usually ends up on the floor seconds later.

These are certainly good views of his who-knows-what-color-but-they're-certainly-striking eyes. 

"My car"

This little car has become one of Simon's favorite toys. It's interesting how they take to liking certain toys for certain reasons--he suddenly took an interest in wheels and hasn't given that up yet. He'll turn it over and just spin the wheels round and round. Sometimes we think he's ready for "The Dukes of Hazzard" because he likes to roll the car over as though he's rolling a log. Then again, maybe not :) 

Hello there!

Simon likes eating. His pediatrician has given him clearance to eat almost anything, but a good bottle now and then is certainly still a favorite. I think he has started figuring out how to wave, because he'll put his arm up in the air like that if you wave at him (sometimes).
